To get started, here’s what you do:
Take pictures of yourself and some measurements.
That picture will be you “before” picture so you have something to compare to. It feels great to look at before and after pictures after you’ve completed a few months of training. So take a few so you don’t regret it later.
Your measurement will let you have something to shoot for. You’ll know where you are right now – your starting point.
Start by measuring your shoulders circumference across its widest point. And get your waist circumference by wrapping a measuring tape across your belly button.
Then get your current Adonis Index score by dividing your shoulder size by your waist size.
Now for your ideal measurements…
Your ideal waist is approximately 44.7% of your height. So to get your ideal waist measurement, multiply your height by 0.447. From there you can get your ideal shoulder width by multiplying your ideal waist measurement by the ideal Adonis Index ratio 1:1.618.
So if you’re 68 inches tall, your ideal waist measurement (68 x 0.447) is 30.4 inches and your ideal shoulder measurement (30.4 x 1.618) is 49.19 inches.
To know how close you are to the ideal proportion, get the difference between the ideal AI score (1.618) and your current AI score.
